The history of Spain in the eleventh century comes to life through the story of young Abdu, his travels and adventures. Set in the eleventh century, about the life of a mixed-blood man from a Muslim father -emir of Cordoba- and Spanish mother -a captive in the harem of her father-. For Muslims of Cordoba he is called Abderraman, Abdu in diminutive, her mother secretly call him Diego. Despite its origins, Abdu, at six years old, is expelled from the harem as per the local customs, and had to live on the streets as a beggar to survive.
